Tudor Common Woman

I've always been fascinated by historical clothing but found it intimidating due to its complexity. Recently, I discovered some fantastic historical sewing channels on YouTube that make it easier to understand. One of my favorites is Samantha Bullat, the Couture Courtesan, who explains the basic clothing of common people in the early 16th century in this video. I used her research and costume version as inspiration for this illustration. Now I feel inspired to create more, maybe even try my hand at a more intricate costume.
